This free course from the University of Vermont Sea Grant Program will cover the nuances of septic systems in Vermont. Discover how septic systems work and the various kinds of systems installed in Vermont. Participants will: Understand the regulatory framework for on-site wastewater systems and potable water supplies. Learn how to address the Permit and Approval issues that might occur when buying and selling property. Discuss potential septic issues at the time of sale. Learn how to access online resources for answers to site specific questions and permit applications and to contact regional managers. Course is delivered via Zoom. Particpant cameras must remain on for the duration of the course with participant in sight. Registrants will receive the Zoom link the day before the course.
