Krista Hoffsis
About
Originally from Cincinnati, Krista came to Vermont to attend college at University of Vermont and never wanted to leave. Krista got her degree in Environmental Sciences which she finds the perfect tie-in to real estate, in that Vermonters deeply value a sense of place, opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, and the natural beauty of this state.
Krista has earned the National Association of Realtors GREEN designation, where she was trained in understanding what makes a property green, helping clients evaluate the cost/benefits of resource-efficient features and practices, distinguishing between industry rating and classification systems, listing and marketing green homes and buildings, discussing the financial grants and incentives available to homeowners, and understanding how buyer and seller preferences may be inspired by resource-efficiency.
Krista works to understand the unique needs and values of each client by listening and asking the right questions . She loves all things home-related, from finding the perfect place to call home, to home improvement projects, to architecture and interior design. In her free time, Krista loves to tackle DIY projects, volunteer for Howling Mountain Wildlife Rescue, serve on the Preservation Burlington board, and spend time on/near Lake Champlain.
Krista lives in a historic cape style house in the New North End of Burlington with her husband, dogs, and cat.
